FilmTexture App — Terms of Use

Welcome to FilmTexture. By downloading, installing, or using the FilmTexture iOS app, you agree to these terms.

The license

FilmTexture grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service and these terms.

Age and your account

• The camera and editor work without an account. An account is needed only to take part in the community.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or take part in the community.
• If you are under the age of majority where you live, or under the age at which the law there lets you consent on your own, you may use an account only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep access to its email address secure.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → menu → Delete Account. This removes your profile, your posts, the looks you shared and the looks you kept. Purchases are not affected.

Subscription & payment

• A free account takes three captures a day, on any film stock, photos and videos together. Every capture is clean and full resolution.
• FilmTexture Pro is a recurring subscription that adds unlimited captures, the editor for photos and videos, and sharing your looks. If you already have a Studio subscription, it carries on and includes everything in Pro.
• Pricing: Pro $4.99/month or $29.99/year; Lifetime $129.99, one-time (US prices; regional pricing applies).
• Where a plan comes with a free trial, its length is shown before you subscribe. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
• Refunds are handled by Apple. Request refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your content

Anything you capture, import, or create in FilmTexture belongs to you. FilmTexture does not claim any rights to your photos or videos. We do not transmit them and we do not store them, unless you choose to share a frame or a look to the community. See App Privacy.

When you share to the community, you give FilmTexture a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that post or look inside the app, only to run the community. The license ends when you delete the post, stop sharing the look, or delete your account.

Community

The community is a place to share work and see how others made theirs. It is optional, and it has one standard: there is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users.

• Share only work you made yourself or have the right to share.
• No nudity or sexual content, violence, hate, harassment, bullying, threats, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
• No spam, scams, impersonation, illegal activity, or other people’s private information.
• What you share is public: other people can see your posts, looks, name, and handle.
• A new account’s first posts are reviewed before they appear.
• Every post, profile and shared look can be reported. You can block any author, and their posts and looks disappear from your view immediately.
• We review reports and act on them within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it can be suspended or permanently terminated, without notice.
• Posts and looks reflect the views of the people who share them, not of FilmTexture.

What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source of the app.
• Resell or sublicense the app or your subscription.
• Use the app to violate any law or third-party right.

Disclaimer

FilmTexture is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation or freedom from bugs. We continuously improve the app, but we cannot promise that a given feature will exist forever.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FilmTexture is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the prior twelve months.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. If we do, the “Last updated” date above will reflect the change. Continued use after the change indicates acceptance.
